Here you will find a variety of typical cycling routes usually leaving from Richmond Park. They vary in ability by ranging from different distances and terrain (flat, rolling or hilly). These are just a few common routes, but often members will post links to their own routes in our online community.

Route 1: Box Hill M Loop

Description: Flat to rolling quick route out to Box Hill heading through Chessington via Kingston. Some ‘hill reps’ or a quick coffee at Box Hill then it is a fast ride back on the A240 to Richmond Park.

Route 2: Box Hill L Loop

Description: Same as Route 1 to Box Hill, then from Dorking the route heads through some of Surrey’s finest hills, including Leith Hill, before turning back to Boxhill. A fast ride back on the A240 to Richmond Park.

Route 3: Box Hill XL (Long Loop)

Description: This variant of the Boxhill loop heads out via Cobham before joining the Boxhill L Loop for the Surrey Hills. After Boxhill, onto the A25, then the final punishing climb up Reigate Hill before returning home.

Route 4: Cranleigh XL (Long Loop)

Description: Extended version of Route 1 with some extra climbs. After Box Hill the route heads west to Abinger Hammer, then South through Cranleigh and looping back up Shere Hill towards Okham.

Route 5: Brighton XXL Out & Back

Description: After Kingston, its fast down Reigate Hill and southeast onto Turners Hill. The route is undulating through Ardingly, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill. The main climb is Ditchling Beacon into Brighton.

Description: This is a great training ride down the A24 for those who are preparing for a fast Ironman and guarantees time on the aerobars. For a more scenic and hillier XXL ride check out the route to Brighton.
